New Mexico's female mariachi band with guest singer Reynaldo Maestas and folklorico dancing by Albuquerque's Baila Baila.

Mariachi Buenaventura is an aspiring group of talented young ladies that continue to grow in popularity. Performing since 2005, the mariachi plays for private and public events, such as weddings, masses, QuinceaƱeras, concerts and banquets.    They regularly perform every Friday at Los Potrillos Restaurant and every Tuesday at Tomasitas Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Their repetoire consists of a wide variety of traditional, contemporary, and original songs.  The group prides themselves on their arrangements of pop songs and cumbias with a mariachi twist.  The ladies not only play covers but compose and write their own songs which are becoming local favorites.  The members of Mariachi Buenaventura come from various musical backgrounds which include, rock, symphony, and jazz Bands.   The ladies have attended annual mariachi congerences in Arizona, and various parts of New Mexico, and have taken lessons with some of New Mexico's finest mariachi groups. Mariachi Buenaventura has played for dignitaries such as New Mexico Governer Bill Richardson, United States President Barack Obama, and United States Senator John Edwards. In the summer of 2008, Mariachi Buenaventura accompanied a choir from Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, MX.  To compete in the Choral Olympics of Graz, Australia, they spent a month touring and performing in various countries in Europe. The ladies are proud to be from Santa Fe, and New Mexico's first all-female mariachi.
